The Project:

This was a passion project for my husband's fictitious bamboo clothing company.

It all started with his stinky, sweaty, super gross socks. My husband is a self-proclaimed sock aficionado. As he puts it, "Socks are the most underappreciated garment of an outfit." A bold statement, but one he stands by—literally. The man loves fun socks, but he’s also super active, which means his socks have seen better days.

Then bamboo socks came along and changed everything. They were a game changer: durable, breathable, and, most importantly, stink-resistant. Finally, he had socks that could keep up with him, and I didn’t feel the need to "accidentally" lose them in the laundry. The only problem? Bamboo socks on the market were a little…boring. No bright colors, no fun patterns—just a snooze fest.

Naturally, he dreamed of fixing this glaring injustice by launching a company to sell fun, colorful, and durable bamboo socks. And because he also wanted his name to live on (as one does), I created KRAFWICK — a mash-up of his last name, Krafick, and “wick,” inspired by bamboo’s sweat-wicking superpowers.

Eventually, the idea expanded to include athletic wear, and with it came the tagline: “Wick Your Ick.” It’s the perfect blend of clever and quirky—much like this entire adventure.
