The Project:

This is a small part of the final capstone project of my UX design course.

The prompt was to follow the steps in the UX process; Empathize, Define,  Ideate,  Prototype,  and  Test;  While creating a new brand and website for a fictitious business or organization.

For my animal rescue I chose the name Home Bound, because isn't that what shelters should be for? Not a permanent place for the lost and hopeless,  but  a  way-point  for  those  pets  who  are  on  a  long journey to their forever homes.

As I was completing my research for the project, I took notice of how many shelters focused on the sad truth that the animals were without homes. Being that I wanted to reflect the positivity and hope that these animals feel, this brands identity reflects all things fun, cute and silly.

Information Architecture

One section I really wanted to include was advice. Going through the adoption/rescue process with my dog Kiko, I knew how hard and frustrating it can be.
